Join Mike Miller and George Alvarado this first episode of Tongue Waggers*: Linguistics from a Christian Worldview. We will introduce different areas of lingusitic study, different fields, and will explore why linguistics should be learned by every person. Not only will we talk about some boring stuff (joking), but also, topics like gender nuetrality, descriptive vs. prescriptive grammar, why some find Sarah Palin relatable, why Donald Trump attracts followers, is "as you go" in the Great Comission translated correctly, and much more! It will be hard to keep this episode just under an hour, but it will be worth hearing about the robust and unexhaustable world of lingusitics.
* Tongue Waggers comes from the name "Lollards" during the pre-reformation era. It was the name given to John Wycliffe's followers from his enemies.
