Welcome to G220 Radio!
In this episode, Ricky & Mike discuss the recent Solar Eclipse and the mighty hand of God in creation.
God's mighty work in creation is a testament to His infinite power and wisdom. From the vast expanse of the heavens to the tiniest living organisms on earth, every aspect of creation bears witness to the greatness of our Creator. The majestic mountains, the awe-inspiring oceans, the intricate ecosystems, and the diversity of species all point toward the divine hand that brought them into being. The beauty and complexity of creation are beyond human comprehension. The creation story in the Bible tells us that God saw everything He had made and pronounced it good. As we look at the world around us, we are reminded of this truth and are filled with wonder and gratitude for the mighty work of God in creation.

Christian Cancel Culture with Steven Ely & Kofi Adu-Boahen // Ep# 610
Tuesday Mar 26, 2024
Tuesday Mar 26, 2024
Welcome to G220 Radio!
In this episode, Mike and Ricky welcome Steven Ely & Kofi Adu-Boahen to the program to discuss cancel culture amongst Christians.
Cancel culture is a modern phenomenon where people, especially on social media platforms, call for boycotting or shunning a person or a company for their problematic views or actions. This can range from offensive comments or behavior to criminal acts. The goal of cancel culture is to hold individuals or organizations accountable for their actions and to prevent them from profiting or gaining influence despite their wrongdoing. However, some critics argue that cancel culture can be excessive and can lead to the suppression of free speech and the stifling of meaningful discourse.
How should we as Christians view cancel culture especially when we see it happening within the church?
In what ways can we show grace and understanding towards those who hold different beliefs or interpretations of scripture?
How can we promote unity without compromising on our core beliefs and values?
How can we engage in healthy and respectful dialogue with those who hold different views within the Christian community?
What role can the church leadership play in fostering unity and addressing divisive issues?
How can we balance the tension between upholding biblical truth and extending grace and love to those who may not agree with us?
How can we ensure that our disagreements do not lead to harmful and hurtful actions or attitudes towards others?

Local Church Accountability with Pastor Russell Threet // Ep# 609
Tuesday Mar 19, 2024
Tuesday Mar 19, 2024
Welcome to G220 Radio! In this episode, Ricky and Mike welcome Pastor Russell Threet as our guest to discuss the importance of local church accountability for parachurch ministries.
Over the years of evangelizing on the streets at college campuses, abortion mills, sporting events, and more. I have had many encounters with others out doing "ministry" and when I (Ricky) inquired about where they attend church, I received answers that were very concerning.
Some of these individuals or groups weren't connected to a local church at all. The streets are not the only places I have run into those doing "ministry" that weren't part of a local church. Online ministries on YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media sites many of which operate without any accountability of a local church.
It's easy to have an online platform these days or ministry, but what about the accountability of those on these platforms or who have ministries? Are they accountable? Are they under the authority of a local church? Should they be?
These are questions we will seek to answer with Pastor Russell Threet.

Women In Combat Sports with Pastor Joseph Spurgeon // Ep# 608
Tuesday Mar 12, 2024
Tuesday Mar 12, 2024
Welcome to G220 Radio!
In this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon joins us to discuss women in combat sports. Recently online, Pastor Spurgeon has been vocal against women acting like men in these combat sports, such as wrestling, and ultimate fighting.
Here is an example from a post from Pastor Spurgeon.
"This isn't really something to celebrate. There is nothing good in a boy wrestling a girl. He has nothing to gain from it and everything to lose. If he wins, it's not a great achievement. He's not going to boast about beating a girl. If he loses, well, then he will be shamed.
This encouragement of women to compete with boys in combat sports is just upstream of the transgender movement. It blurs the distinction of the sexes, encouraging girls to act like boys.
It also works to suppress in boys a natural inclination to avoid violence against girls. It will lead to more abuse of women.
Again, this is nothing to celebrate, and everyone involved in encouraging it ought to think twice about what they are doing."
Join us as we discuss this topic with Pastor Joseph Spurgeon and seek to answer some of these questions that might come to mind when thinking about women in combat sports.
Be sure to join us on G220 Radio when we cover this topic with Pastor Joseph Spurgeon.
