Should We Call Him, Her? - Tongue Waggers (Ep 10)
Friday Feb 23, 2018
Friday Feb 23, 2018
On this very complex episode of Tonguewaggers, we will be exploring gender-neutral, non-binary language, pronouns, and transgenderism. We are going to answer some questions like: Is it wrong to use gender-neutral, or gender-inclusive langauge? Is the singular "they" grammatically incorrect? What causes shifts in language use? Why do Romantic languages, like Spanish and French, struggle to be gender-neutral? And finally, we will spend most of our time addressing which pronouns should we use for co-workers, friends, and strangers when they identify as a the opposite gender (or maybe not at all). For instance, should we call Jim at work "Jill" if that is what he requests? Should we use the pronoun "her" or "she" when speaking concerning him? Pronouns are important to language efficiency. Identity in language is also important. Language change is inevitable, but often idealistically and poitically motivated. As Christians, what are we to do in times like this? Tune in and listen to the discussion. f you have any questions, email us at g220radio@gmail.com, or you can call in the day of the show (347) 857-4028.

We look to have a gracious discussion with Christopher Conner who holds to the view that is against Calvinism specifically on the topic of limited atonement. Our goal is to have dialogue with one another in a gracious and loving manner even when we disagree strongly on this issue. we hope this conversation will be edifying and encouraging to the listeners and cause us all to dig in deeper for understanding of God's Word in our growth. Wednesday Feb 14, 2018
Wednesday Feb 14, 2018
Ep# 280 Can A Woman Be A Pastor? On this episode of G220 Radio we discuss a controversial topic. One that should not be as controversial as it is but one that is none the less. Can women be a pastor/elder and deacons? What does the Bible say about the office of elder? When a woman holds the title of elder/pastor is it as a disobedient believer or a disobedient unbeliever? Tune in as we look at 1 Timothy 2:12 which is the major verse used when speaking against women holding the office of pastor. We will dig much deeper as well by looking at the qualifications of elders and deacons. Also we will touch on the bigger argument when it comes to this topic, that of which deals with complimentarian versus egalitarian views.

Ep#274 White Evangelicalism
Wednesday Dec 13, 2017
Wednesday Dec 13, 2017
On this very serious episode of G220, we are looking forward to having our guest and hip hop artist, Chrys Jones, come on the show and talk about his articles, "A Departure From Evangelicalism?" in which he brings up the problem surrounding the term "White" Evangelicalism. We will further discuss race issues that are being brought up by popular artists and explore gospel-centered questions and solutions. Chrys, an artist, producer, and engineer, strives to contribute meaningfully to the genre which helped lead him to Christ. He is a Kentucky native who signed with a Christian Hip Hop group called Christcentric in 2017. As an aritist, Chris has said, "I want to promote Christ-exalting, scripture-saturated, high quality, lyrical theology through the music I make. As hip-hop follows the trends of what’s current and popular, I want to be true to the music that I grew up listening to. More importantly, want to be true to the gospel which is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16)." Prior to his conversion, Chrys was a hip-hop artist whose raps were filled with pride, self-righteousness, and the false Christianity which has become prevalent in today’s hip hop scene. In the autumn of 2006, Chrys realized he was a false convert and was later born again after reading the gospel of Matthew and Revelation. He was determined from that point forward to use his talents for the Lord.
